Water Builds Hope!

I have the privilege of serving as the Director of Accounting at Water Mission, a global non-profit headquartered here in North Charleston, whose purpose is to bring hope, dignity, and LIFE to precious individuals around the world.

Millions of women and children walk more than three miles to collect water each day for their families. Often, the water collected is unsafe to drink. But there is hope. This year, I will be walking to raise funds and awareness to help fight the global water crisis. Every gift of $50 provides one more person access to safe water and the opportunity to experience God's love. Together, we will walk to bring clean, safe water to 14,000 people in need around the world.

We walk, so others don't have to. Join our Charleston Baptist Church Team as we join in this incredible journey.

“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
– John 4:13-14

Water Mission seeks to provide both physical and spiritual aid to people in urgent need around the world. As a Christian engineering nonprofit, Water Mission is guided by our core values of love, excellence, and integrity. We aim to honor and serve the Lord by bringing safe water solutions and the Living Water of Jesus Christ to all people around the world. Water Mission is committed to serving everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or faith.

When we build safe water solutions in a community most have overlooked, we form deep relationships built on trust. As a result, families who receive life-giving water also experience new hope. Mothers watch their sick children become happy, healthy kids through access to safe water. Fathers can better provide for their family’s futures because income is not spent on costly medical bills. Children can attend school and create better futures. As communities witness Water Mission working to provide safe water for them in the name of the Lord, it opens doors for us to share the gospel.

When we provide safe water to a community, we take a holistic approach that builds on local resources and relationships to equip residents. Just as we support and guide community members through our safe water projects, we do not simply share the gospel and leave. Instead, we partner with the local church, equipping them to share God’s love with as many men, women, and children as possible. By investing in our Living Water program, you will help to strengthen local churches and empower them to meet their communities’ physical and spiritual needs.
