This year will be the 2nd year that we’re co-hosting a charity walk with the City of Houston Public Works to raise funds and awareness for the 2 billion people around the world lacking access to clean water and sanitation. All the proceeds of the walk go to Water Mission, a nonprofit engineering organization that builds safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions in developing countries and disaster areas. Based out of South Carolina, Water Mission has served more than 8 million people in 60 countries and counting. Notably, Charity Navigator has awarded Water Mission its top 4-star rating 15 years in a row — a distinction shared by less than 1% of all charities rated by the organization. This exceptional designation demonstrates Water Mission’s commitment to excellence. To learn more, visit watermission.org
Millions of women and children walk more than three miles to collect water each day for their families. Often, the water collected is unsafe to drink. But there is hope. This year, we will be walking to raise funds and awareness to help fight the global water crisis. Together, we will walk to bring clean, safe water to 4,000 people in need around the world.
